Support
Most issues fall into one of the buckets below. If yours doesn't,
email zhiii0x@gmail.com with your device,
iOS version, and a short description — replies usually within a day or two.

version, and screenshots if the issue is visual.
Purchases & Pro
- I bought Pro but it's not unlocked on my other device.
-
Open Settings → Pro → Restore Purchases on the other device.
Make sure both devices are signed into the same Apple ID. Pro is a Universal Purchase,
so a single $5.99 unlocks every iPhone and iPad on your Apple ID at no extra cost.
- I tapped "Unlock Pro" but the screen says "Waiting for approval".
-
That's Apple's Ask to Buy flow — purchases by a child account in Family
Sharing need to be approved by the family organizer. Close the screen; once they
approve, Pro will unlock automatically the next time the app refreshes.
- I want a refund.
-
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by us. Visit
reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in
with your Apple ID, find the Leganote charge, and choose "Request a refund."
- Can I share Pro with my family?
-
Yes. Pro is configured for Family Sharing: if you set up a Family
in iOS Settings, everyone in it gets Pro at no extra cost. You don't need to do
anything extra in Leganote.
Editing
- If I change the key, do the chords transpose too?
-
Yes. Pick a new key from the key menu and every chord in the chart shifts
with you —
C Am F G in C becomes G Em C D
in G, and so on. One ⌘Z (or undo tap) reverts the whole transpose if you
change your mind.
- What if the song never had a key set?
-
The chart is treated as if it were already in C, so picking your first
key transposes accordingly. If your chart was actually written in a
different key, set that key first to clear the offset, then change to
the key you really want.
iCloud sync
- My library doesn't appear on my other device.
-
Make sure both devices are signed into the same Apple ID and that
iCloud Drive is on for Leganote: iOS Settings → [your name] →
iCloud → Saved to iCloud, scroll to Leganote, and enable it. New songs may take
a minute to appear depending on your network. Force-quitting and reopening the app
will trigger a fresh sync.
- I don't want my songs in iCloud.
-
Turn off iCloud for Leganote in iOS Settings. The app will fall back to local
on-device storage. Note that without iCloud, songs only live on whichever device
created them — be sure to back up via iCloud Backup or iTunes/Finder.
Files & formats
- What file types can I import?
-
ChordPro (
.cho, .crd, .chopro,
.chordpro) and PDF. MusicXML import is in the Pro tier.
- Where are my songs stored?
-
In your iCloud Drive, under the Leganote folder, or locally on your device
if iCloud is off. You can browse and back up the folder yourself from the Files app.
We don't have a server; we never see your files.
- Can I open Leganote files on a Mac?
-
Right now Leganote ships for iPhone and iPad only. The underlying file format is a
plain bundle — you can browse the folder on a Mac via iCloud Drive — but there's no
Mac editor app yet. A Mac version is on the roadmap for v1.x.
Still stuck?
Email zhiii0x@gmail.com with what you tried,
what happened, and your device + iOS version. Screenshots help. I read every email
myself — it's a one-person operation, so the dev is support.
