I'm zhi, a solo dev. I built Leganote in evenings and weekends because I was tired of paying recurring fees for tools I just want to own — and tired of "lifetime" apps that quietly turned into yearly plans. So I made my own. It's a chord chart, lead sheet, and PDF practice app for iPhone and iPad.
It costs $5.99 once. That's it. Buy it on one device and it unlocks on every iPhone and iPad on your Apple ID — including everyone in your Family. No subscription, no trial, no ads, no upsell screens. Free tier covers everyday playback, a small library, the metronome and A-B loop, one-tap transposition, and bass + ukulele fingering diagrams; Pro adds guitar & piano diagrams, an unlimited library, Apple Pencil PDF annotation, Tempo Ramp practice, and MusicXML import/export.
Your songs live in your own iCloud Drive. There's no Leganote account, because there's no Leganote server — I genuinely don't have one. If you uninstall the app tomorrow, your files are still right where you put them.
Bug? Confusing UI? Chord rendered wrong? Feature you'd actually pay extra for? Email zhiii0x@gmail.com — it goes straight to me. I read everything, and being a one-person shop means I can usually ship a fix within a week or two, not a quarter.
