The short version: Matcha does not collect any data about you. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no ads and no third-party SDKs. Everything you make stays on your device.
Nothing. Matcha does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal information or usage data. There are no servers that receive your data, and the app makes no analytics or advertising network calls.
To work as an instrument, Matcha keeps the following locally on your device only. It never leaves your device and is never sent to us or anyone else:
You can remove all of it at any time by deleting a loop inside the app, or by deleting the app from your device.
When you choose to export a video, Matcha asks for permission to add that video to your photo library. This permission is used only to save videos you export yourself. Matcha does not read, browse or access your existing photos or videos.
Matcha does not track you across apps or websites, and contains no advertising or analytics identifiers. In Apple's App Privacy terms, its data collection is declared as Data Not Collected and tracking as No.
Matcha is rated for all ages and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children. Because it collects no data at all, it is safe for people of any age.
Because Matcha keeps everything locally and holds no data on any server, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on your behalf. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device.
If Matcha ever adds a feature that changes how information is handled — for example, optional cloud sync — we will update this page and the date above before that feature ships.
