Getting started
Tap the keys to play. Use the faders for volume, melody/rhythm balance, octave and tone. Press RHYTHM to start a beat, and the ◀ ▶ beside the rhythm name on the LCD to switch patterns. The full keyboard is wider than the screen — drag the slider beneath the keys to move the visible window.
Frequently asked questions
How do I record what I play?
Tap the red ● in the top-right corner, play, then ⏹ to stop. Preview the take, then ✓ to keep it or 🗑 to discard. Saved recordings live under the ⚙ Settings button, where you can play or share them.
Where are my recordings stored?
On your device only, inside the app's own storage. Share them whenever you like from Settings. PocketTone never uploads your recordings anywhere.
What does PocketTone Pro unlock?
All five voices, all ten rhythms, recording & sharing, the melody memory (Auto-Play, One-Key play and the demo tune), and the Delay + Crush effects. It is a single one-time purchase — there is no subscription.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Open the unlock screen and tap Restore. Your one-time purchase is tied to your Apple ID and restores for free on any device you sign in to.
Why doesn't PocketTone ask for microphone access?
Because it never uses the microphone. Recording captures the synth's own audio output — not your room — so there is nothing to ask permission for.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone and iPad running iOS 17 or later. iPhone plays in landscape; iPad works in any orientation.
How do I play the calculator?
Switch the POWER slider to CAL. Each digit key sounds a note, the operators add a short rest, and pressing = replays the sequence you typed as a little melody — while still doing the maths.
