Privacy Policy

Last updated 7 June 2026.

The short version: PocketTone collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking. Everything you make stays on your device until you choose to share it.

What we collect

Nothing. PocketTone has no user accounts, no sign-in, no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, and no advertising identifiers. We do not build a profile of you, and we have no servers that receive your data.

Your recordings

Audio you record is saved only on your device, inside the app's own storage. It is never uploaded automatically. A recording leaves your device only when you deliberately use the system share sheet to send it somewhere — and then it goes wherever you direct it, not to us.

Your settings

PocketTone remembers your panel — tones, volume, balance, tempo and any tune you record into its memory — by storing it locally on your device. This information never leaves the device and is not visible to us or to anyone else.

Microphone

PocketTone does not use the microphone. Its recording feature captures the synth's own audio output, not sound from your surroundings, so the app never requests microphone access.

Network use and in-app purchases

PocketTone uses Apple's standard StoreKit service to show the PocketTone Pro price, to process the purchase if you choose to buy it, and to restore a previous purchase. These interactions are handled entirely by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; we never see your payment details and receive no data about you in return. PocketTone makes no other network connections.

Children

PocketTone is suitable for all ages. Because the app collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children.

Third parties

PocketTone shares no data with third parties. The only external service involved is Apple's payment processing for the optional in-app purchase, described above.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
