Pocketext ("the App") is developed by Zhiii ("we", "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the App accesses and how it is handled.

Data Collection

Pocketext does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. We have no analytics, no tracking, and no telemetry.

On-Device Processing

All OCR text recognition, document classification, and search indexing are performed entirely on your device using Apple's built-in frameworks (Vision, Core ML). No data is sent to any cloud service for processing.

Document Storage

• Local storage: Documents and OCR results are stored in the App's sandboxed container on your Mac or iPhone.
• iCloud sync (optional): If you enable iCloud, documents sync through your personal iCloud account. We do not operate any servers and have no access to your iCloud data.

Third-Party Code

Pocketext uses zero third-party libraries or SDKs. The App is built entirely on Apple frameworks: SwiftUI, SwiftData, Vision, PDFKit, CloudKit, CoreSpotlight, and SQLite3. There are no advertising SDKs, analytics frameworks, or external dependencies.

Spotlight Integration

When enabled, Pocketext indexes document titles and OCR text in macOS/iOS Spotlight for system-wide search. This data stays on your device and is managed by the operating system.

Network Access

Pocketext does not require network access to function. The only network activity is optional iCloud sync, which is handled by Apple's CloudKit framework directly between your devices and your iCloud account.

Children's Privacy

Pocketext does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
