Getting started

  • In Final Cut Pro, choose File ▸ Export XML… to create an .fcpxml file.
  • Open TitleCue and drag the .fcpxml onto the window — or click Load sample to try it with a built-in example.
  • Review the cues and quality-check badges, choose an output format, and click Export.
  • Reverse direction: drop an .srt, .vtt, or .csv to generate editable titles back into FCPXML.

Common questions

Does TitleCue send my files anywhere?
No. Everything runs on your Mac. There is no network access, no account, and no tracking.

I closed the window — how do I get it back?
Choose Window ▸ TitleCue Window (or press ⌘0), or click the app's Dock icon.

Which formats are supported?
SRT, WebVTT, TTML / DFXP, iTunes Timed Text, plain text, and CSV — in both directions with FCPXML.

Which macOS versions are supported?
TitleCue is a native, sandboxed macOS app and runs on recent versions of macOS on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
