The plug-in doesn't appear in my host

Open the RasterFX app once, all the way to the main screen. iOS only registers an Audio Unit after its container app has been launched, so a fresh install is invisible to AUM, GarageBand, Logic and everything else until you do. This is the cause almost every time.

If it still isn't there:

• Look under effects, not instruments. RasterFX is an audio effect that also accepts MIDI, so some hosts list it in a submenu.
• Open Settings › About in the app and tap the Plug-in row. It runs a live check and says what it found — that line is the fastest way for us to tell what is wrong.
• Some hosts only rescan on launch. Quit the host fully and reopen it.
• If you have just updated, restarting the device forces iOS to rebuild its Audio Unit registry.

I bought Pro, but the plug-in still shows Free

Open the RasterFX app once. The plug-in cannot talk to the App Store itself — when your host loads it, it is not running as the app — so it reads your unlock from a file the app writes. Opening the app once writes it.

Then close the plug-in's window in your host and open it again; it re-reads your licence every time the window appears, so you do not need to reload the session.

Your saved work is never affected by this. A patch made in Pro always plays back exactly right, even on the free version — all six slots, all sixteen modulation lines. The free version limits what you can edit, never what you can hear.

Restoring a purchase

New device, or reinstalled the app? Open Settings › Plan and tap Restore. Pro is a one-time, non-consumable purchase, so it comes back on any device signed in to the same Apple Account, at no extra cost. If nothing happens, check that you are signed in to the Apple Account you bought it with.

What Pro adds

Everything else is free and unrestricted: all eight effects, all modulation sources, every factory preset, the dice, parameter locks, undo, the macros and throws, and all four input sources in standalone mode. Nothing is watermarked, muted or reduced in quality.

Where are my recordings?

They stay on your device, inside the app. Open Recordings in the toolbar to play, rename, share or delete them. Sharing hands the file to the normal iOS share sheet, so you can send it to Files, another app, or off the device — that is the only way anything leaves.

Reporting a problem

Please include these — they turn a guess into a fix:

• The version and build, and the Plug-in line, all three in Settings › About.
• Your device and iOS version.
• If it involves a plug-in: which host, and whether the same thing happens in the standalone app.
• What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.

• As a plug-in: any Audio Unit v3 (AUv3) host — AUM, GarageBand, Logic for iPad, Loopy Pro, Drambo, Cubasis and others
• No account and no internet connection needed to use it

宿主裡找不到這個外掛

先把 RasterFX 這個 App 完整開啟一次。iOS 要等容器 App 被啟動過 才會註冊它的 Audio Unit，所以剛安裝完，AUM、GarageBand、Logic 都看不到它。 幾乎每一次都是這個原因。還是找不到的話：到 App 裡的 Settings › About 點 Plug-in 那一列，它會當場做一次 檢查並說出結果；另外請確認你是在效果器而不是樂器的清單裡找， 有些宿主也只在啟動時重新掃描。

買了 Pro，但外掛裡還是免費版

把 App 開啟一次。外掛自己連不到 App Store（被宿主載入時它不是以 App 的身分在跑），所以它讀的是 App 寫下來的解鎖記錄，而開啟一次就會寫。 接著把宿主裡的外掛視窗關掉再打開即可——它每次視窗出現都會重讀，不需要重載整個 session。你已經做好的東西完全不受影響：用 Pro 做的 patch 在免費版上也會 100% 正確地播放，六格與十六條線全部照跑。免費版限制的是你能 編輯什麼，從來不是你能聽到什麼。

還原購買

換裝置或重裝之後，到 Settings › Plan 按 Restore。 Pro 是一次性的非消耗性購買，只要登入同一個 Apple 帳號就會回來，不會再收費。
